Final Academic Year: Capstone Year Abroad

Summer

The Russian Overseas Flagship (ROF) Capstone Program at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) in Almaty, Kazakhstan administered by American Councils for International Education, includes intensive coursework, individual tutoring, direct enrollment in a course at KazNU (fall), a professional internship (spring), and a homestay with a Russian-speaking family.

Students wishing to participate in the ROC Capstone Program need to reach advanced proficiency in Russian. If they require further Russian instruction or need to satisfy additional requirements for their major on campus, they can postpone their Capstone Year Abroad until the 5th year at UGA.
